This is what passion looks like. 

When you hear or read about black folks talking about Black Greek Letter Organizations, we are speaking from all of the emotions embodied in this short film.

Hardship.Reward.Gratitude.Joy.

Undying LOVE. 

Appreciation for those amazing people who came before us, and united in the face of adversity, to give us something to call our own. The founders - who created a space for us to love and uplift each other.

Appreciation for the amazing people who came before us and risked so much just so we could feel what they feel.The prophytes - who thought we deserved to have any small part of this epic piece of our history and our future.

Appreciation for the amazing people who walked with us along the way and helped us to develop and grow. The linesisters/linebrothers - who made everything worth it and taught us how to share, love and feel everything from someone else’s body.

Being a member of a Greek Organization doesn’t make me any better than anyone else -

but it undoubtedly, undeniably, indubitably makes me better than who I used to be.

 

So when I speak of Alpha Kappa Alpha

or the love for my brothers

of Alpha Phi Alpha (shown in this video)

I want you to know this is what I feel.

That will never change.

So this is a peek into my heart.
